Pinsan means cousin in Tagalog. And, as familial ties are especially central to the Filipino culture, being referred to by another as pinsan is profound and meaningful (particularly if you aren’t related to that person). Addressing someone as pinsan underscores a heartfelt association, a kinship, a bond, and a belonging to something greater—a community—more so, to a rich cultural heritage.

This platform was created for those looking to connect with that culture through the experiences, stories, and accomplishments of others in our community, from artists, musicians, writers, educators, businesses leaders, you name it. We want to shine a light on their achievements and to instill and promote pride among us while learning about our fellow pinsans.
We publish a new feature every other month and this month focuses on Architect Jose L. de Ocampo – professor at the University of Santo Tomas and Adamson University. Read the article here.
